THE HOSPITAL. (From Our Own Correspondent.) PONGAROA, Thursday. At a meeting of the Pongaroa Hosjiital Committee held on Monday, Mi- R. C. N. .Scott was appointed secretary, and Mr A. R. Carley re-elected lion, auditor for the ensuing year. Mr Carley was accorded a. vote of thanks for his past services. SETTLERS INJURED. Mr R. E. Meeeh was thrown from a horse on Mr P. V. Smith’s station at Akitio on Saturday and sustained a fractured collarbone. Mr W. J. Polglase also fractured a collarbone when playing in the Married v. Single football match on the local Domain on Saturday. WED I >ING BELLS. The marriage took place recently at Palmerston North of Miss Nina Davidson, eldest daughter of Mr and Mrs J. H. Davidson, formerly of Pongaroa, to Mr W. Pickett, eldest son of the late Mr and Mrs W. P Pickett, of Kohiku, Pongaioa.
