A passenger in the capsized car. Patrick Burn, single, aged -54. had his neck pierced by a steel curtain roil of the car The rod entered one side of bis neck below the ear. emerging on the other side. A hacksaw was requisitioned and Burns was cut free after iN' nnnutos' work, being conscious throughout, the ordeal. Rums was rushed to hospital, where the rod. which damaged the wall of his jugular vein, was removed. His condition is serious.
