POTATO PRICES UP.
DEAL YYITH SOUTH AMERICA. Electric Telegraph—Press Association CHRISTCHURCH. July 7. There has been an improvement during; the week in the potato market. The cause is the coinpletiou ot an order for further shipment to South America. This is the third deal this season for this destination, the two previous ones beins each far 1000 tons. Prompt wliites have been sold on trucks at £5 or £6. f.0.b.. s.i,. and Julys at £5 2s 6d and £5 5s on trucks or £6 ss.
