TROTTING CLUB TO DISBAND
SEVERE LOSS EXPERIENCED

The South Wairarapa Trotting Club, at. a special general meeting held at Greytown last- night, decided to disband in order to reorgnnise.After the last meeting a severe loss was experienced and application was made for a full 2per cent, totalisator tax rebate, winch was granted. After' the payment of various accounts the club lias £33 left with which to pav the Carterton Racing Club £lO6. There is some £3O still owing to the Trotting Club in outstanding- fees. It was decided to take steps to get these m and nonpavers will be posted. The position now is that all club officers, including the secretary, are out of office, but the secretary has intimated his willingness to carry on till next meeting without pay and foregoing the present month’s salary in the interests of the club. The next meeting.to reorganise the club will be held during the last Wednesday in July. Meantime, a vigorous canvas of the district for members is to be curried out. ! lie prospects for re-organisation are considered bright.
