CLEARED OF SLIPS

MANAWATU GORGE RAILWAY

Electric Telegraph—Press Association PALAJERSTOX X., June 29. Although another small slip came down on the railway line 111 the Alanawatu Gorge early last evening, the railway track was open for traffic to-day. The slip last night disorganised the night service through the gorge but trains were held up merely as a precautionary measure. The roadway through the gorge is still clear, and good progress has been made with the clearing awnv of the many small slips.
