PUKETOI SCHOOL
ANNUAL PICNIC AND SPORTS.
(From a Correspondent. The Puketoi School picnic was held on Wednesday last. The weather being fine there was a large crowd from all parts of the district. Each child attending school was allotted a prize book and each girl given a prize for sewing. Owing to the local school teacher not attending. the Pongaroa schoolmaster handed the prizes out to those who were present. The dance that was held in the evening was also a success. The committee wish to thank all who helped to make the picnic a success. The races resulted as follow :
