PAHIATUA SHEEP FAIR BIDDING VERY KEEN. Associated Live Stock Auctioneers, Ltd., report having held their second Paliiatua fair this season when they offered yesterday a yarding of 13,600 sheep, principally breeding ewes, with several pens of lambs and wethers. Included in the yarding were several lines of outstanding two-tooth ewes which met with spi rited competition and realised top market rates. There was a large attendance of buyers, Manawatu. Hawke's Bay and lower Wairarapa being well represented. Bd. In the young ewes Mr J. E. Hewitt topped the market with a line of 99 purebred Romney twotooth ewes at 15s Id, 74 ditto at 14s 2d. and 70 four and six-tooth ewes 12s. A splendid line of 298 two-tooth ewes account C. T. Richardson, IVaitiwhiti Station, sold well at 14s Id, and 110 six-tooth ewes made 12s Id. Other prices for young ewes were: Account J. J. Sorenson, 239 twotooth ewes at 13s lOd; account Ngarata Station, 258 four-tooth owes at 10s 6d; account R. Dougherty, 164 two-tootli ewes 10s 2d ; account A.
