NGATURI SCHOOL SPORTS.

SUCCESSFUL GATHERING

The Ngaturi School picnic was held in the domain on Friday m ideal weather. The popular teacher, Miss M. Faulkener, acted as handicapper. There were some very close finishes. Mr H. Cotter acted as starter. There Mas a large attendance of parents and friends. An excellent spread was provided and, with nut scrambles and bags of sweets, a very pleasant day was spent. Every child received a prize. Following are the results of the races: Girls’ race: Daisy- arid May Dick, Laura Cotter and Elsie Ammundsen all tied for first place. Boys’ race: N. Chisnell and D. Chisnell, Frank Ammundsen all tied tor first place. Children’s race: Shirley Ammundsen I, John Miller 2, Hillarv Miller 3. Girls’ and boys’ three-legged race: May Dick and Laura Cotter I. DaisyDick and Rosie P'erqev 2, M. Chisnell and Donald Dick 3. Girls’ skipping race: Rosie Piereey 1, Helen Heckler 2, Elsie Ammundsen 3. Boys’ sack race: Donald Dick 1, Nt. Chisnell 2, Bill Heckler 3. Girls’ saak race: May Dick 1, Daisy Dick 2, Rosie Piereey and Helen Heckler 3. Boys’ potato race: O. Chisnell 1, M. Chisnell 2, Donald Dick 3.
