TENNIS MATCH.

MAKOMAKO v. HUKANUI

A tennis match the Mako-niak-o and the Hukanui Tennis Clubs was played last Saturday at Hukanui. Although a fairly keen wind vas blowing, most of the games were very evenly contested and the onlookers were treated to some sparkling tennis. Dinner and afternoon tea. dispensed by the* Hukanui ladies. left nothing to be desired and a most enjoyable day was spent b.v all present. The Hukanui team proved the winners by' a narrow margin of four sets or 14 sets (105 games) to 10 sets (92 games). The following is the detailed result of the scores.
