“ HOLD EVERYTHING ”

WINNIE IS BACK AGAIN. Winnie Lightner. the dynamic comedienne and star of “Hold Everything,” whose voice and humorous antics have endeared her to the theatre-going public, will sing two great song hits at the King’s Theatre on 1\ ednesday and Thursday night—“lsn’t This A CocfcWorld,” and "Physically Fit.” Since her first appearance on the screen, a short time ago, Winnie Lightner continues to prove a breathless sort of surprise. She is the screen’s Jack-in-the-box. As soon as she makes her entrance the audience reacts in the same way a child does when playing with one of those amusing little toys. Things can be happening in an interesting way on the screen when suddenlyout pops Winnie anil the big party is on. Her entrances are v< >ri table bombshells of entertainment, whether on the stage, in pictures, or in private life. Joe E. Brown, of “Sally” fame, indulges in a bit of athletics in “Hold Everything.” Tha"t glorious spree of fun and music, fresh from the musical comedy stage, where it remained for more than a year one of the two most successful musical hits of many seasons, gives him ample opportunity to indulge in some riotous comedy as the foolish fighter who never could win a fight. This pair has proved to be the greatest comedy team on the screen to-day. As a pair of scrappy lovers they make this picture an' absolute riot of fun. Winnie uses the same boisterous tactics that made her the hit of “Gold Diggers of Broadway,” and it is easy to imagine what happens to Joe Brown every time she catches him flirting with another girl. In addition the east includes George Cnrpentier. famous French boxer who fought Demnsey for the world’s title. Solly O’lSeil, as his Irish sweetheart, Dorothy Revier, and Bert Roach.
