After having gashed his throat and cut lii s wrist, Norman Wheeler walked about a quarter of a mile from his house late lajst night, evidently looking for assistance. The knife used had missed the arteries in each place though the larynx was cut through and Wheeler oould not speak. He was removed to hospital in a serious condition. He Is married but lives apart from his wife.
