THE LATE MRS. C. BAKTER
Hie late Airs C. Baxter, of Palilatua, was born at New Plvmouth and came to Pahiatua from' Picton. (where she lived for 19 years) 27 years ago, 24 of which she spent at tier late res deuce < " Willowbauk ’ boardinghouse; Mangahao Road) liuor to that Air and Al. s Baxter engaged in dairy farming on a propei tv on tlie mam road adjoining the local racecourse, and subsequently at Alaugamaire. Her husband predeceased her 10 years ago. He- family comprised four daughters ana three sons, the surviving members of which are- Airs F J Darling (Napier). Airs S. G. AVallis (II ahiatua). Miss E. R. Baxter and Air A. H . G. Baxter, also of this town. -Tile deceased leaves ten grand-children, and her passing is also mourned by five sisters and three brothers. The late Airs Baxter, who was of a very energetic disposition and greatly esteemed by ail who knew her, carried on the “AA iliowbank’ boardinghouse successfully and attended to its active management up t.ill a fortnight ago, wffen she was compelled to take to her bed.
