Ihe fortnightly meeting of the above Lodge was held oil Monday evening. Bro. F. J. Martin. N.G., presided over a good attendance of members.

I.G. Bro. H. A. Bic-k gave a. lengthy report on the recent District Conference which was held under the auspices of the Loyal Rosa of the A alley Lodge at Lower Hutt. Uie business transacted at the c-011-ierence was of a very important nature in view of the approaching Dominion Conference to be held at I’almerston North next month. Bro. Rick also gave a report on the Lodge s visitation to Dannevirke annual meeting on 6th inst. There vere over 100 members present, including 20 from PahiatUa. The Grand /Master of Hawke’s Bay and his deputy were present and both gave illuminating addresses on Lodge matters. A very pleasant evening was brought to a close with supper and dancing at a late hour. Bro. Hick was voted a hearty vote of thanks for his interesting reports. At the close of the meeting the dance committee met to further arrangements for the forthcoming anmial dance which is to he held on Easter Monday night, at Mangatain oka. TAKARUA LODGE OF PAST GRANDS. Ihe quarterly meeting of this Lodge was held at Eketaliuna on 111csd.lv night. In the unavoidable absence of the President, P.G. Hro. ■ri Kitchen occupied the chair. • here was a good attendance of members from both Lodges. 111 connection with the merit hoards, this matter was held over pending further particulars. Reports from the District Conference and other visitations were received, it was decided to extend an invitation to the \Yairarnpa Lodge to visit this Lodge in the future. Presentation of certificates and emblems were made to Rios. Kendall and Watts. The annual meeting of this Lodge will lie held at Pahiatua in June, when a good representative meeting is expected. After routine business had been disposed of the Lodge closed and supper partaken of.
