NEW YORK March 9. -V grim battle between p steel armoured rum boat and a, coastguard cutter on Lake Erie ended with thecapture of the rum boat and its crew of two men. During the battle the cutter wa.s rammed in the middle, and one rum runner was critically wounded when the ship wap fired upon by the coastguard. A one-pounder and, rifles wlere captured. The ship, which is a 65foot vessel, contained 1600 cases of alleged beer and whisky
