AT THE LAST MINUTE.

CATHOLICS SAVE SITUATION. (Received 10.30 a.m.) United Press Assn —By Electric Telegraph—Copyright. BERLIN, March 11. Anxiety that the Government would fail to obtain a satisfactory majority on the Young Plan in the Reichstag was dispelled by the Catholic Party at the last minute. This party decided to support the Plan as the Government had met its financial claim. The Bavarian People’s Party abstained from voting. The Communists tried to obstruct the Bill, but it was read a second time by 251 to 174. It is rumoured that Hindenburg brought pressure to bear on Cathloics because he felt he could not sign the Young Plan and Hague Agreements if they were passed only by a bare majority. The Reichstag also passed the Australian and New Zealand War Time Property Agreements concluded at the Hague.
