It is understood that serious consideration lias been given by the Federal Ministry to a proposal to impose an all round super-tax on all items in the tariff schedule. It would he drastic, but in view of tlie serious trade position, it is thought in certain circles that such action should be taken. It is rumoured that the super tax might even bet as high a,s ten or fifteen per cent.
