ESSAY COMPETITION.
The results of the essay competitions, children over 12 attending primary schools, and secondary pupils, held in conneeiton with the recent Horticultural and Industrial Show are as follows: Children, primary school : Yiolo Fairweather 1, George. Hodgson 2, Joan Paget 3. Secondary pupils: Marjorie Taylor 1. Mary Adam s ' 2. Moira. Purdie 3. In connection with this section the judges (Messrs H. D. Grccott and H. AI. B. Marshall) remarked that the. essays of two other competitors Barbara Boyd and Zona Stevens, were to be highly commended. .
