Miss Grace Clark had a fortunate escape from death last night when a ear she was driving was struck by a train from Rotorua at the Franktou crossing. The car was badly smashed. M,iss Clark was thrown heavily onto her head but suffered only slight injuries to the head. She did not notice the signal when approaching the crossing.
