BALLOON ADRIFT

ACROSS THE NORTH SEA. United Press Assn —By Electric Telegraph—Copyright. LONDON, February 11. Three German balloonists who ascended at Leipzig on Sunday on a short island cruise developed into a flight across the North Sea and ended in a crash in Aberdeen to-day. Shortly after ascending a storm rose and it was impossible to descend. Driven towards Holland and then to the North Sea they drifted helplessly along the English coast for twelve hours at night until early morning when they saw the lights of Aberdeen. The balloon occasionally humped against the hilltops and finally a tree overturned the basket, pitching out the occupants who fortunately were They found hospitality on a farm. The German consul is arranging for their return.
