BANKER’S .DAUGHTER IN TROUBLE.

Marianne Waldman. a banker’s daughter, is to-dav known in Germany as the female Dou Juan. Following denunciation she was arrested and charged until manipulating bank books in respect of which there is an alleged misappropriation of £IO,OOO which .she si»cnt on ’nnumeruble male friends drawn from all classes of society. Gifts to her favourites included Persian carpets, fur collars, vacuum cleaners and motor-cycles. Claims against her include £SO for car hire for joy rides for her cavaliers and £230 for wines and refreshments . Her father, who owned tile bank for half a century has also been . rrested on a charge uc culpable negligence. CHANGED HIS NAME. LONDON. November 20. An eelio of the v.ar-time execution of Sir Roger Casement for assisting to land arms in Ireland, is contained in.the Gazette notification that Midshipman Roger Casement has changed his Christian name to Roddw.
