BOMB OUTRAGES BRUTAL CRIMES IN Al ELBOURNE. United Press Assn—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright. AIELBOURNE, November 21 Another bomb outrage oec: rred w'hen the ground floor of Av i lam Swan ton’s home was wrecked early to-day. A hole three feet deep vas torn in the floor, and a di or sis tv feet away was blown out and fu-;.i-ture wrecked. The four occupants on the upper floor escaped injury, fwanton's home is a palatial one in fine grounds and the outrage is believed to have been committed ty ■he s-me ruffians responsible for previous explosions. Swanton is a prominent shipping man and director cf the William Crosby Company. II- is just now visiting Sydney. The only occupants of the home at the mom mt of the explosion were women-folk who were terrified. STEVEDORES ATTACKED. MELBOURNE November 21. Two volunteer stevedores to-day were attacked in Flinders street by about twenty men. The jaw of one was broken, while the other suffered facial abrasions. The polico arrested the main assailant. A VERY ECCENTRIC WOMAN. LONDON. November 20. Aliss Elizabeth Ellis, a well-dressed confectioner, aged 34, called at the Bradford police station and declared: “I’ve set fire to a birth control van.” Aliss Ellis’s action was apparently due to conscientious objections to the circulation of pamphlets dealing with birth control not only among married but also among single women. The work of distribution is portion of the activities of the Society for Constructive Birth Control, wheh has influential headquarters in London, and is under the presidency of Dr Alarie Stopes. A van tours the country under the supervision of two certificated mid-wives. In her attack on the van Aliss Ellis broke a window and poured paraffin and ignited the vehicle. However the fire went out after a curtain had been burnt. Aliss Ellis was charged with malicious damage and pleaded guilty. She announced that she would repeat the performance if Dr Stopes were not dealt with as a law breaker. Aliss Ellis was fined ten shillings and ordered to pay damages amounting to ten shillings, with the alternative of eleven days’ imprisonment. Defendant refused to pay, announcing that she preferred to go to gaol, hut her sister, however, discharged the fine.
SORDID AIELBOURNE CASE.

Sordid details are associated with the discovery of the bodies of the nian Hiddle and the child Virtue. The little girl’s mother was in hospital at the time of the child’s disappearance on July 18 and the father purposely kept the disappearance from the mother and police for four days. The bodies were discovered in an attic between the ceiling and chimney in Kiddie’s own home. Peel_Street. Ballarat. An unusual smell caused the investigation and the bodies were found fifteen feet apart between the rafters. Roth were dressed with the exception of shoes. There was a supply of blankets two candles, a large butcher’s knife, and a bottle bearing the label poison and also a condensed milk tin besides the little gill. The bodies were much decomposed. lint were identified as those of Hiddle and the girl Virtue.
