MEXICAN MURDER MOTHER SUPERIOR DUPLICATED United Press Assn—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright. VANCOUVER, August 22. In connection with the forthcoming trial of -Jose Tural for shooting the President-elect (General Obregon). the police are submitting a -signed statement by Raphael Vidal, 22 years, a law student, confessing that the Mother Superior of the Conception -showed him pictures of youths executed for religious activities. and expressing her determination to organise another group of martyrs. The plan was to murder President Caldeis as well ais General Obregon, by a bomb in the Chamber of Deputies, and blow up railway bridges. The Attorney-General will ask for twenty years’ imprisonment for the Mother Superior. This is the supreme penalty for a woman in Mexico. LOxbON NEWSPAPER’S ENTERPRISE. LONDON, August 22. The Daily Express is the first paper in the world to attempt triple publication. It announces that in addition to- the Manchester edition it now intends to publish in Glasgow, where a most- Up-to-date plant has been installed to- produce the Daily Express with additional Scottish news. The enterprise adds four hundred employees to- the staff, and £IOO,OOO to year’s payroll, which is a practical answer to All- Baldwin’s appeal to employers. The Daily Express circulation already is 1,476,283 ■and has increased 350,000 during the year. TWO AERO MEMBERS BURNED TO DEATH. LONDON. August 22. Two pioneer members of the Nottingham Aero Club flying a Moth crashed near Hacknell. The machine burst into flames and the pilot, Robert Blake, son of Sir Arthur Blake, and passenger, William Richardson, were burned to death.
