NOT CONTESTING RAGLAN SEAT. Electric Telegraph—Preen Association HAMILTON. This Day. George Smith, of Huntly, whose candidature for the Raglan electorate was announced under the banner of the United Party, stated in an interview that he was not contesting the seat. Representations had 'been made to him. but he declined for private reasons.
