PAHIATUA PRICES. The Wairarapa Farmers Association. Ltd. (stock department), report on the Pahiatua sale as follows: A good yarding of sheep and cattle came forward. Prices were quite on a par with recent sales, all lines being disposed of at auction. AVe quote: On account of J. D. Mathews, 50 2-tooth ewes r.w. Romney and L. rams, 37s 6d ; account G. Russell, 63 ewes r.w. S.D. rams. 36s 6d; account C. Sebelin, 50 s.w. lambs, 24s 6d; ewes r.w. S.D. rams. 25s Id to 355; ewes r.w. Romney rams, 17s 7d; wether lambs. 22s 6d to 24s 6d ; m.s. lambs, 17s to 21s ?d ; small b.f. lambs, 17s 6d; potter cows, £5. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co.. Ltd., report : At the Paliiatna weekly sale we submitted a yarding of 500 odd sheep to a good attendance of farmers. Sheep values remain firm, inquiry being for ph classes of stock. AVe quote our sales as under: 123 ewes in lamb to Southdown ram, 335; 185 ewes in lamb to S.D. ram, 36s 6d; 19 do. 29s ; 46 2-tooth wethers, 34s 6d; 19 ewes in lamb to S.D. ram, 29s 9d ; 16 do fpoor condition), 21s ; 27 ewes in lamb to S.D: ram, 20s 4d; fat lamb, 35s 6d; 5 empty potter cows, £4 IBs ; 8 iveaner Jersey cross heifers, £4. Messrs. Dalgety and Co.. Ltd., have to report on their usual weekly sale: AVe bad a fair yarding of sheep to a fair attendance of the public. Ibices held firm with recent sales. Quotations: 79 wether shorn lambs, 19s; 67 4 and 5-year ewes r.w. S.D. ranis, 345; 81 2 and 4tootli wethers, 345; 6 ewe lambs, 265; 54 wether lambs, shorn, 265; 1() 2-tooth wethers, 27s 6d ; potter cows. £2 15s.
