WIN FOR THE WARATAHS

WARWICKSHIRE BEATEN B—s. Electric Telegraph—Press Association LONDON. December 22. The War;.tabs defeated Warwickshire and North Midlands by eight points to five. A great rally in the closing stages secured the Waratahs the victory despite their opponent’s lead of 5 —3 at half time. The ground was very muddy and the game mostly a forward one. The backs had few opportunities and were handicapped by the greasy ball. The local players attacked fiercely in the first, spell and kept the Waratahs on the defensive. But in the second session the Waratahs fully held their own.
