N.Z. RUGBY TEAM

TOUR OF SOUTH AFRICA SUGGESTED CURTAILMENT. (Received 11.10 a.m.) Eiectric Telegrapft.—Press Association CAPETOWN, June 14. The suggested curtailment of the New Zealand Rugby tour to' 21 matches and three tests lias caused widespread disappointment throughout South Afrieo, particularly in the small centres. All are eager" to join in a national welcome to the All Blacks. It is understood that the South African board is most anxious to meet the views of visitors, but feels local conditions will make the departure of the New Zealanders on June 16 too late bringing the tour into hot weather. It feels’that. New Zealand would pay great compliment it it trusted the .South African board regarding the arrangements. Ihe visit is regarded more l from an Imperial aspect than actual results.
