BASKET BALL
ANNUAL MEETING OF CLUB. There was a large number of enthusiasts present at the annual meeting of tlie Pahiatua Basket Ball Club held in St. Peter’s Sunday schoolroom last evening. Miss M. F. Hewat presided. Office re were elected as follows : Patron, Dr. 11. Paterson; president, Miss M. F. Hewat (re-elected); vice-presidents. Messrs M. J. O'Connor,. G. W. Chatwin, A. C. Timms, F P. Badger, A. P. Fox, R. Adams, S. T. Tinney, G. H. Brown, J. A. Walsh. Mesdames I. M. Graham, H. Fenwiclv, Misses M. G. Edmed and H. Ross ; secretary, Miss E. Cashin ; la gsist a j it-secretary, Miss N. Fox; treasurer, Miss S. Taylor ; committee, Misses E. Cashin, N. Fox, S. Taylor, F. Badger and V. Braggins. It was decided to commence the matches after Easter. A vote of thanks was accorded Mr M. J. O'Connor for the interest displayed by him last year, also to Miss D. J. Richardson for her untiring efforts a.s club secretary.
