THE FIRST SHOT

MUNICIPAL ELECTIONS. Tlie first shot in the forthcoming municipal elections will be fired on Saturday evening, when an open-air meeting will be held in support of the candidature of Air S. G. Wallis. Air Langstone, formerly member for Waimarino, will address tlie gathering . As Air AVallis is the first to make a stir in the campaign, no doubt the meeting will attract a large number of citizens.

It is only fair to the ratepayers that the various candidates should give the public some idea of their policy. They should possess some definite views for the advancement of the town.
