EKETAHUNA CATTLE FAIR. The N.Z. Loan and M. Agency Co., Ltd .. report: —At the Eketahuna saleyards on Monday, 4th April, approximately 7 700 head oef cattle were submitted to a good attendance of the public. Wo submitted an entry of 500 head and most lines came forward in very good order, and were of good quality. In sympathy with other markets cattle showed a drop in values owing to the depressed state of conditions generally. However, we sold the bulk of our y’arding with the exception of bullocks lor which there is no demand. Quotations: P.A. bullocks to £6 19s, 20-montli steers t-o £5 7s; 16-month P.A. steers ,-P 3 10s to £4 2s; 16-month I’.A. heifers £2 1 its to £3 ss; ditto Hereford to £3 11s; P.A. cows and calves £4 2s to £4 13s 6<l : empty P.A. cows £3 10s to £I • P.A.
