EVACUATION OF RHINELAND.
AI. CLEAIENCEAU DESPONDENT. Electric Telegraph- —Press Association PARIS, January 3. AI. Clemenceau declined a request of the Echo de Paris to comment on the expected evacuation of the Rhineland. He stated that he would not have waited to- he approached if he had thought he could usefully say anything in the cruel circumstances they were now passing through. He concluded: “Excuse this opinion ot a dead man who has seen h.qs own funeral.”
