FARM DAIRY INSTRUCTOR.
ESTABLISHED IN THIS DISTRICT. Mr E. C. Piercy, farm dairy instructor, has taken up his duties in this district and is at present making himself acquainted with the roads oyer which his duties will lead him. His work will be done amongst the following factories: Pahiatua, Rexdale, Hopelands, North Tirnumea, Tararua, Haniua, Itiverbank, United, Mangatninoka, Marima, Konini and Nirenha, the suppliers of which will receive every possible assistance in their efforts to produce nothing but “finest” grade from their farms.
The directors of tlie factories mentioned are to be congratulated upon the appointment of an officer the effect of whose work will very soon be demonstrated on the Government grade notes. It is a matter for regret that a number of the smaller factories have not yet seen their way to enter the scheme of form dairy instruction, but there can be little doubt that economic conditions will very soon compel them to come into line with modern practice.
