N.Z. AND ABROAD. The appointment of Mr Dallard as Controller-General ol Prisons was ieceutly the subject of an appeal by an officer of the Prisons Depcrtm-e'it. It was announced to-day that the appeal had been dismissed by The Public Service Appeal Board. The appointment ot Mr Dallard, therefore, is confirmed.
