EDITORS ON STRIKE
GLASGOW SOCIALI T PAPER. Electric Telegraph—Press Association LONDON, December 2<\ The editorial staff of the Glasgow Evening Standard, a Socialist paper, owned by Mr Wheatley, M.P., struck, alleging victimisation and a breach of Trades Union principles. The editor asserts that the reporters who are entitled to 70s, received 37s 6d weekly to 30s lid. When they secured an increase to 80 per cent of the union rates, one of the most highly paid men was dismissed and a boy brought m his place. The firm denies the allegations. Journalists are not supporting the strike.
