THE AVONDALE MEETING DEAD HEAT IN GUINEAS. Electric Telegraph—Press Association AUCKLAND, Last Night. The Avondale Jockey Club’s spring meeting concluded at Ellerslie today in fine weather. There was a large attendance. The totalisator handled £63,453 10s, making a grand total of £136,388 10s for the meeting, as compared with last year’s figures, when the Avondale Club raced on its own ground, this represents an increase of £36,320. Mount Albert Welter, 6 furlongs: First division: 20 Arc-heno 1, 13 Ohinemuri 2, 18 Town Guard 3. Won by half a neck, a neck between second and third. Time 1.14.
