GISBORNE CRIME.

AN ARREST AFFECTED, ACCUSED ADMITS HIS CUILT APPREHENDED ON FARM. Fleet no Telegraph—Press Association GISBORNE, Last Night The polioe left for Alatarwai, forty-seven miles from Gisborne, and Inspector Hutton and Detective AlcLeod arrested a man named Robert Herbert Scott, 37 years of age, on a farm between Alataiwai and Alotu. In a statement to the police, the accused admits the outrage and murder of the girl Gwen Murray. The arrested man, Robert Herbert Scott, is the man for whom the police have been searching since Tuesday, and who called early on Sunday morning at a Alakaraka resident’s house gruffly demanding food and whose movements since have been erratic.
