Owing to dissatisf action witli the management of .affairs of the Wei- i lington Waterside Workers’ Union a ; number of them have decided to form | a new union, and are awaiting the ! reply of the Registrar of Unions be- ! fore proceeding further. It is hoped that the decision of the Registrar will be received' in* the course of a few days, and if the application is granted t|» get things into working order for the- beginning of the New Year. A membership is anticipated directly the sanction of the Registrar ' has been received. These men have declared their willingness to work u/nder the new award, leaving any grievances to be redressed by constitutional tnetliods.
