The quarterly meeting of the general committee of the Plunkct Society wta,s held in tlie Host Booms yesterday. Mrs J. D. Wilson presided, and there were also present —Mcsdlames Goer, Tiunov, Canning, Mor-i-arty, Lewis, Piirdio, Swainson. Sliekleton, Monaghan, Bason, Fox, Jones, Tatar©, Dyer, Kotlowski, A. Grange, and Morris. 'Pile general bu-simfss for the last illrey months was discussed, and the credit balance at the hank was cons i der o< 1 s a t,i sf ac to ry. Each month brings in new oases niii-d the nurse’s work is increasing in this district.
It w>as decided to liold a Children's Kvening a,ml Christmas Tree in St. Poter’s schoolroom on. December 21st. Towards this fund, Mesdamcs Bick and Muirphy donated 5s eaeli, and Mrs Le#is a tin of confectionery.
