OPPOSITION TO IMPORTED ARTICLE. Electric Telegraph Picks Association Wellington. This Day. The fact that a portion ol the proceeds of the sale of the popies are to be .sent to France, in payment of the flowers received, created considerable discussion at a meeting of the Soldiers’ Mothers’ League. A resolution was passed that the meeting strongly .opposed the sale in New Zealand of flowers made ill any country outside of the British' Empire in commemoration of dead soldiers. It wais emphasised that the full results of such ail effoit as was made oil Poppy Day should be expended in New Zealand for tlie benefit of New Zealand.
