KEVIN STOCK SALE.

Levin, Last Night.

Sheep showed a strong improvement at to-day’s sale, lambs being in strong request. The best lot of prime reached 20s. Fats we're also sought after, and the competition was good, the values being from 13s 4d to 18s. Tho foregoing lots improved by over 4s per head on last week. Fat sheep were firm. Wethers, 16s 4d, IBs, 19s 9d,and 20s. - Fat ewes, 7s 6d to 14s TOd. In stores, good forward lambs reached from 7s 6d to 14s Id, and forward ewes 7s Gd. The whole sheep section showed an upward movement. Cattle were a weak section, and the business done was on last sale rates. Porker pigs did not sell so well as at the previous sale, the best price being about £3 ss, the primest lots SALE REPORT. The Wairarapa Farmers’ Co-opera-tive Association Ltd., Stock Department, Bahia tua, report on their usual week y sale held at Alangahao Road Yards on Tuesday, 7th inst., as follows: A good entry of shc-p came forward, a little over 1700 head being yarded, included in which were some very fine lines of fat ewes and wethers, t lie fat owes being particularly good. Top price was realised by Messrs Jvebbd Bros’., entry- of 191 head, which sold at from 14s 5d to 16s

2d Fat. wethers were also in good demand, best lines of fats throughout being purchased by outside buyers. A small pen of Stud Romney ewes, in lamb, sold on account of Air R. Maliburton.realised 1J guineas. We made a good clearance under the hammer at satisfactory prices. A few pens of < att tt, principally Heifers ini calf, made late rates. We report the following sales: —60 fat ewes 16s 2d, 94 do. 15s 7d, 37 do. 14s sd, 77 do. 14s 3d, 19 do. 12s 7d, 33 do. 12s. 9-4 2-tooth ewes 13s sd, 52 empty ewes9s. G 1 ewes in lamb to Romney rams
