The “Chronicle’s” special ~ correspondent. at Berlin reports that a new volunteer army of a hundred thousand men will consist of 21 infantry and 18 cavalry regiments and seven independent squadrons with artillery. The estimated cost, is five milliards ot marks yearly. Privates enlist for 12 years and officers for 25. The men will b© educated for civil occupations during their service.
