A TRIANGLE MASTERPIECE
A picture that should prove a favourite attraction during the present week is tlie Triangle-Kav-Bee production “The Eye of the Night.’ r whicfc will be screened at the Kings Theatre to-morrow and Wednesday evening. The scene is laid on the English East Coast. and centres round a lighthouse which is kept by an old man, known as David Hollen. whose part is taken capitally by William H. Thompson, file part of a poor village outcast to whom he extends his Christian charitar is taken by Marjory Wilson, a i.ng .avourite on the screen. flP of the features of tlie pictjxs WF bag German aeroplane raid which the lighthouse is destroyed ".uirf to enable a transport carrying wounded to enter the harbour old David sets his own cottage on fire to act as a beacon, i transport comes the sweet-! heart (believed to be dead) of the girl he has protected, and finally comes the discovery that the girl' is old David s own daughter. The theme of the story i 8 quite unusual and the acting and scenic efforts are realistioal ly produced in the Triangle way. The “Gaumont Graphic” and a com edv. featuring Frank Daniels, will le the supporting films.
