RETURNED SOLDIERS.

Electric Telegraph—Press Association. Auckland. Last Night. A contingent of 232 soldiers and two nurses arrived at Auckland today. Twenty-four of the officers are returning on duty. The remainder of the contingent arc invalided home. The destinations of the men are as tallows: Auckland. 3 officers. 68 men; Wellington, 22 officers 72 men two nurses; Lyttelton. 1 officer. 26 men; Port Chalmers, 39 men. Four holders of military me.iaL are with the contingent, viz:’ Lieutenants Hughes and Perkins, of Christchurch, who won their distinctions when in the ranks. Bombardier Wm. Brown, of Dunedin and Sergeant Edward Fox.of Auckland. A D.C.M. i.- held by Sergeant Frank Holder, of Napier.
