PAHIATUA STOCK SALE.
Messrs Wright, Stephenson and Co., Ltd., report having held their usual weekly sale yesterday in the Mangahao road yards. Only a small entry of cattle came forward, which was 'offered to a large attendance of buyers, and a total clearance resulted at the following prices : —Store cows £6 17s 6d. yearling steers and heifers £'4. cows and calves £B. heifers and calves £7 14.-. store heifers £4 6s to £4 17s. The attention of vendors and purchasers is drawn to the firm’s first spring cattle fair to he held on November a th. The Wairarapa Fanners’ Co-oper-ative Association, Ltd,, report on their Pahiatna stock sale on Tuesday as follows ‘W € offered a small yarding of sheep and cat to to a fair attendance of buyers. Fat cattle were in keen demand, and sold at prices in favour of the vendor. Sh'eep sold well up to recent sales. Quotations: Prime fat bullocks £l9, light bullocks £l2 13s 6d to £l4. springing heifers £7 to £8 2s 6d, -tore cows £6 10s, springing cows (good) £ls los, ewes with lambs nt foot (low condition) 32s sd. hoggets (small) 21- 9d.
