Balllanee Hall was the scene of a very successful gathering on Friday evening when settlers from all the district round met to honour Mr O’Dee, the late manager of the Ballance Butter Factory. Dancing formed the staple amusement, varied by a mandoline solo by Miss Proctor and a recitation by Mr Jus. Vi lubley, both of which were encored.

Mr Eddie acted as chairman, and in a brief speech referred to tile occasion of the gathering.
