ADJOURNED TO WELLINGTON

The charges of theft, five indictments. preferred against \\ illiam To&swill came before the Supremo Court at Masterton yesterday. Mr Justice Chapman. in an address to the jury, referred to the seriousness of the charges against accused, that of misappropriating funds placed in his hands for investment, and be did not anticipate that the jury would have any difficulty in arriving at a conclusion in regard to this case. After a short retirement, the Grand Jury brought in a True Bill. Mr Pragnell. on behalf of Mr Cooper, asked that tin place of trial be changed to Wellington. The solicitor for the Crown offered no objection. and His Honour agreed to this course*. a.nß fixed the (late of hearing for September 22nd, at 10 a.rn.
