The “Star” correspondent telegraphs that a police party of three encountered Rua and a number of his bodyguard. Rua complained bitterly that the police sought to imprison him for an offence in respect of which he had already served sentence. He pulled off his coat, saying: “Take m,e if you can.” There was evidence that liis followers were armed and the police withdrew.
