INTENSIVE FARMING.
An envious example of intensive farming i,s afforded by Mr IV. H. Rutledge's returns off hi.vlOacre flinn at Midhirst (rays the “Post”). Six weeks ago, he sold forty pigs which realised £l3O Ilk, and to-day I)imock and Co. took delivery of 43 mom at an average of £3 7s 9d. Last year Mr Rutledge'' Lifted £790 off his little selection, but he hits beaten that amount already this year, with the mimlier of weeks still to run unreported. Mr Rutledge was the largest prize winner at the reent Stratford Show, receiving a cheque tor £2O 4s, as a result of cattle and pig entries, while Mrs Rutledge was also a big prize taker in tile home industries C fusses.
