THE PRICE OF STOCK.

Messrs Abraham and Williams, Ltl., (Pahiatua branch) report on their Pahiatua sale, held on Tuesday as followsWe had a very extensive yarding of sheep, and a small one of cattle. Bidding was keen throughout; lambs again were in most demand, while for other classes of sheep prices were on a par with the previous week. Cattle, on the other hand, showed rather an easing tendency, as the following prices will show: Fat cows £7 3s to £9 10s. store cows £4 10s to £7 2s 6d. yearling heifers 25s to 355. cows and calves £5 19s, mixed sexed weaners 22s 6d to 38s 6d, 2tooth ewes up to 24s 9d 2-tooth wetjiers 23s to 23s Sd, forward conditioned ewes 21s Id to 21s 9d, ewes and wethers, mixed, 21s lid to 235, woolly ewe lambs, very good, 17s 6d, woolly wethers lambs very forward, 17s 6<l, good conditioned rape lambs 15s 2d to 15s Sd, good lambs 13s 6d tq 14s 6d, medium shorn lambs 10s tq 13s 6d, poorer lambs 9s to 10s, culls S s to 9s.

The S.Z. Loan and Mercantile Agency Co.. Ltd., report: We had a large yarding of sheep, and a small one of cattle. A good attendance of buyes were present-, and bidding was animated throughout the sale. We quote: (rood shorn wether lambs 16s, m<>diuni do. 13s Sd, medium woolly lambs 13s 6d, small lambs 8s •Sd to 9s 3d, cull do 6s 9d, light mixed aged ewes 13s 3d to 18s Bd, fat cows £9. bulls to £7 2s 6d.
