PAHIATUA CATTLE FAIR
Dalgety and Co., Ltd., Mastcrton, report having held their annual spring cattle fair at Pahiatua on Wednesday, 13th inst., when there was a large and representative attendance, the Manawatu and local districts being well represented. The entry comprised cattle, of good quality anil in fairly good condition for this time of the season. Young cattle were keenly competed for, but grown bullocks were bard to quit. Tho following prices were realised: — Syr steers £7 18s to lb 19s, 2yr Shorthorn steers £7, 2yr steers £4 18s, £5 to £5 Us, Polled Angus yearling steers £5, yearling steers £3, £3 os to £3 9s (id forward cows £5 to £5 14s, empty heifers £1 18s od, store cows £3 to £3 Ids, yearling heifers 30s, £2 Is, £2 2s to £3.
