Acceptance- for the Pahiatua races and the Woodland- Steeplechase gathering close with tli<‘ secretary at 10 p.m. this evening. All -port-men in quest of an excellent afternoon’s racing should make a ixhnt of attending the Alanawatu Hunt’s steeplechase meeting at Awapuni to-morrow. Big fields, representing proficient fencers and speedy hacks, track in splendid order, and the management in capable hands, should he responsible for a record attendance.
